What MoodFeed is

MoodFeed asks how you're feeling and how you'd like to feel, then suggests music, videos, podcasts, articles, and small activities. This page explains what happens to the information you share with it.

No account, no sign-up

MoodFeed doesn't require creating an account, and we don't collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information to use it.

What you type in

The text you enter describing how you feel and how you'd like to feel is sent to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude if configured as a fallback) to generate your personalized feed. We don't store this text ourselves, and we don't use it to identify or track you. It's subject to that provider's own privacy policy:

If you write something suggesting you may be in crisis, MoodFeed automatically detects this (using a simple keyword check that runs before anything is generated) and shows you crisis support resources instead of a content feed. That text is still processed the same way as above — nothing is flagged, reviewed, or stored by us.

What's stored, and where

Your current session — the mood feed you're looking at, and a short list of recently shown items used to avoid repeating them — is stored only in your browser's local storage. It never reaches our servers and isn't shared across devices. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser/device starts a fresh session.

Analytics

MoodFeed may collect basic, anonymous usage events (such as which page was viewed, or that a feed was generated) to understand how the product is used. These events do not include the text you typed. [UPDATE THIS SECTION once a specific analytics provider is connected, naming the provider and linking its privacy policy.]

Cookies

MoodFeed doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising. Any storage it uses (see above) stays in your browser's local storage, not cookies.

Children

MoodFeed is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If how MoodFeed handles your information changes materially, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised accordingly.
